Russian boat that sank on Volga River brought to surface

On July 10, the double-decked riverboat Bulgaria, built in Czechoslovakia in 1955, sank during a thunderstorm three kilometers off the bank of the Kuibyshev Reservoir in Tatarstan. The ship was traveling from Bolgar to Kazan. An operation to raise the sunken vessel began on July 21. The next day, the boat could be seen above water.
