Newlyweds Prince William and Duchess Catherine will visit California in July after their tour of Canada, the St. James's Palace said in a statement on Thursday.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will "visit the State of California from July 8 to July 10, 2011. A detailed itinerary will be published at a later date," the statement said.
The 28-year-old Prince William has never visited the United States in an official capacity, although he has made private trips to the country earlier. Catherine, 29, has never been there, royal officials said.
The Duke and Duchess are now living on the remote island of Anglesey in northwest Wales, where William is based as a Royal Air Force search-and-rescue helicopter pilot, putting off their honeymoon for now.
