Protestors clash with police in Croatia, dozens injured

About 1,000 protestors tried to approach the government building demanding resignation of Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor's cabinet, police used tear gas to disperse the crowd.

The disturbances began after a rally comprising around 10,000 people who called on the Croatian government to protect war veterans after a Croat was arrested in Bosnia on charges of war crimes ended in Zagreb. A group of young people including football fans tried to break through police cordon and a scuffle broke out.

Clashes between police and protestors also took place last Tuesday.
