Two militants were killed in a special operation near the village of Yandi in the Russia's Chechen republic, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov said on Saturday.
"One of the militants has been identified; it is Ayub Shalaev. The identity of the second one is currently being established," Kadyrov said.
Arms and explosives were uncovered at the scene. None of the law enforcers who participated in the operation was injured. Kadyrov emphasized, that other three militants were eliminated near the same village on Friday.
"According to available data, warlord Doku Umarov and other militant leaders sent this group as well as the militants who were neutralized today to commit grave crimes. The measures we've taken helped avoid diversions which were afoot," Kadyrov said.
