Ukrainian Prosecutor's General Office sees no grounds to arrest the opposition leader, Yulia Tymoshenko, charged with state funds' misuse, an investigator working with Tymoshenko said on Wednesday.

"Currently I do not see such grounds," Serhiy Gorbatyuk said.

Two criminal cases launched against Tymoshenko, who was ordered not to leave the city, include the charges of state funds misuse, received from sales of carbon emission quotas under the Kyoto Protocol to pay pensions, and the purchase of 1,000 overcharged Opel Combo minivans by the country's Health Ministry.

Alexander Kalifitsky of the Special Cases Investigation Department of the Ukrainian Prosecutor's General Office said that "until the person breaks the pledge not to leave, there are no reasons for detention."

Tymoshenko is regularly summoned to the prosecutor's office for questioning. The next one is scheduled for Wednesday.

The ex-premier persistently rejects the accusations, saying she is being targeted for standing up to Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.
