NATO does not represent any threat for Russia, according to the alliance's new strategic concept accepted in Lisbon on Friday by the 28 NATO members.
The new strategic concept also states that it wishes for a true strategic partnership between NATO and Russia and will act accordingly in answer to Russia's reciprocity.
This is the first time NATO has stated in its concept that it does not represent any threat to Russia.
