Ukraine and Chinese administrative district of Hong Kong have signed an agreement on visas abolition between and cooperation in customs affairs, Ukrainian presidential press service said Saturday.

The agreement was signed in a presence of Ukraiinian President Viktor Yanukovych and Hong Kong Chief Executive Donald Tsang.

Yanukovych's is currently on a visit to China. This is his first visit to the country and the first by a Ukrainian president since 2002.

The visit is aimed at opening of new opportunities for a dynamic development of relations between Ukraine and Chine, Yanukovych said during the meeting with Tsang.

"I hope that during your short but very tense visit you will be able, at least at some extent, to see what we are, especially, what we can do together for a future," Tsang's administration head said.

Yanukovych and his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao on Thursday looked on as some dozen documents on bilateral cooperation were signed in such areas as finance, infrastructure development, aerospace, business, customs, railways and electricity.
