Three people were hit and killed by a train as they attempted to cross a railway line near St. Petersburg on Thursday, transport prosecutors said.
Another person was also badly injured in the incident.
"The Petersburg-Velikiye Luki train ran over four men, and three of them died," a spokeswoman said.
The men have yet to be identified. An investigation is underway.
