L'AQUILA (Italy), July 9 (RIA Novosti) - Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi's Bedouin tent has been erected on a soccer field in Italy's L'Aquila, the venue for the three-day Group of Eight summit.
When he is away Qaddafi, who will participate in the third day of the G8 summit, prefers to stay in his own tent rather than in a hotel.
According to Italian media, Qaddafi's tent contains all home comforts, including a plasma television with a decoder.
Qaddafi, whose security is provided by a team of female bodyguards, also lived in a tent during a trip to Italy a month ago, a 2004 visit to Brussels and a visit to France in December 2007.
During his visit to Moscow in November 2008, he also spent time in his tent on the Kremlin grounds where he received Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and French singer Mireille Mathieu.
