MAKHACHKALA, January 4 (RIA Novosti) - Two policemen were injured in the Russian North Caucasus republic of Daghestan on Sunday when an unidentified explosive device went off in the town of Khasavyurt, police said.
"The explosion occurred at around 11:10 a.m. Moscow time [8:10 GMT]. The explosive device detonated when a police vehicle with four policemen was passing by. One policeman received fragmentation wounds and another law enforcer had a concussion," a police source said.
An investigation is underway.
