GENEVA, August 12 (RIA Novosti) - A giant inflatable dog turd created by an American artist blew away from an exhibition in the garden of a Swiss museum, wreaking havoc on nearby streets, local media reported on Tuesday.

The sculpture by U.S. artist Paul McCarthy, part of an exhibition entitled called East of Eden: A Garden Show, was caught in a strong gust of wind and broke away from its moorings. Before landing, it brought down a power line and broke a window of a nearby children's home, said Juri Steiner, director of the Paul Klee centre in Berne.

The director said that the incident occurred on the night of July 31.

The museum has not yet contacted McCarthy over the incident, and it remains uncertain whether the sculpture will remain on display, Steiner said.
