BERLIN, June 9 (RIA Novosti) - U.S. President George Bush will arrive on a two-day official visit to Germany on Tuesday after attending an annual U.S.-EU summit in Brdo, Slovenia.
Bush is scheduled to meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel to discuss a broad range of issues, German government spokesman Thomas Steg said.
As well as bilateral relations, Bush and Merkel are expected to focus on major international issues, including Afghanistan and the Middle East. High on the agenda will be climate change and the upcoming G8 leaders' summit in Japan, Steg said.
During his six-day tour of Europe, Bush who steps down as U.S. president in January 2009, will also visit Rome, Paris and London.
