KRASNODAR, January 30 (RIA Novosti) - A group of four tourists who went missing on Monday in South Russia's Caucasus mountains in the Krasnodar Territory were rescued on Wednesday, a local emergency services spokesman said.
The search was complicated by the threat of avalanches, as the area was covered in three meters of snow.
The men were found in a hunting station, 20 km (12 miles) from the nearest village.
The rescue operation was launched on Monday after two groups of tourists failed to return on time. Early on Tuesday, a group of five people managed to contact their relatives and inform rescuers of their whereabouts.
