MOSCOW, November 9 (RIA Novosti) - The body of a pensioner who died at the age of 89 four years ago has been discovered in an apartment in northeast Moscow, the capital city's law enforcement agencies said Thursday.
"The skeletonized body of a woman born in 1913 has been found in an apartment building on Fortunatovskaya Street," a police source said.
The source said policemen were surprised that neighbors and communal services officials had not informed authorities that the woman had not been seen leaving her apartment, and had not paid her bills, for four years.
An investigation is underway.
