TEHRAN, February 25 (RIA Novosti) - The resolution of the Iranian nuclear issue is possible within the framework of the UN's nuclear watchdog, Russia's nuclear chief said Saturday.

"The resolution of all these issues within the IAEA is absolutely realistic," Sergei Kiriyenko, the head of the Federal Agency for Nuclear Power, said after talks with Iranian Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Davud Danesh-Jafari.

"We believe that there are no, and there can be no political impediments to building the Bushehr nuclear power plant, and we are resolved to complete the project as soon as is technically feasible," Kiriyenko said.

The Russian nuclear energy chief said the details would be hashed out Sunday, when he visited the Bushehr construction site.

"Tomorrow, I am planning to visit the Bushehr nuclear power plant together with Mr. [Gholamreza] Agazadeh [Iran's vice president for atomic energy]. We have agreed that today our experts will work intensely to hammer out technical details involved in launching the Bushehr plant," the head of the Russian Federal Agency for Nuclear Power said.

About 3,700 Russian experts are currently helping to build the $800-million plant, originally started in the early 1980s by German specialists, in the port city of Bushehr in southern Iran in accordance with a 1992 agreement between the two countries.
