VLADIKAVKAZ, January 22 (RIA Novosti, Albina Olisayeva) - It will take at least two or three days to repair the pipelines damaged early Sunday in North Ossetia, Russia's republic in North Caucasus, the Emergency Situations Ministry said.

The explosions, which hit two pipelines early Sunday in North Ossetia, cut natural gas supplies to Georgia and Armenia. Repair work was under way and the causes of the blasts were being investigated, the ministry said.

Georgia is holding talks with Iran on gas imports into the republic, the Georgian Fuel and Energy Ministry said Sunday.

"If large damage was done to the pipelines, and it will take long to repair them, Georgia will start gas imports from Iran via Azerbaijan," the ministry said.
