Below is a summary of the main energy-related events in Russia, the CIS and neighboring countries on December 15, 2005

* Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed Russian-Belarusian agreements on the supplies of energy carriers at $46.7 per 1,000 cu m

* Gazprom said Ukraine might fail to ensure uninterrupted natural gas supplies to Europe

* The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development signed a deal to offer Russian national electricity grid operator FSK a $174.5 million loan to help upgrade its infrastructure.

* International rating agency Fitch said Gazprom's dispute with Ukraine over natural gas prices would not affect the Russian energy giant's credit ratings

* Fitch said the world oil price would remain stable, hovering around the current level in 2006

* Gazprom and state-owned oil company Rosneft agreed to sign an additional cooperation agreement soon

* LUKoil, Russia's leading independent crude producer, said it increased its waterborne shipments of oil products to 9.4 million metric tons in the first ten months of 2005, a 65% rise on the same period in 2004

* A Russian business daily said Yukos Financial Director Bruce Misamore had asked to resign from the company

* The Kazakh president inaugurated a major energy project that will allow the Central Asian republic to export crude directly to oil-hungry China without crossing Russian territory

* LUKoil said it would invest $45 million in social infrastructure projects next year in an autonomous region in western Siberia

* Energogarant, one of Russia's major insurance companies, said the country's energy insurance market was worth about $200 million
