MOSCOW, September 22 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has sent a request to extradite Russian tycoon Boris Berezovsky, wanted for "the crime he committed on Russian territory", to Latvia, an office spokesman said Thursday.
Berezovsky arrived in Riga on Wednesday.
Berezovsky, 59, was accused by the authorities of fraud and political corruption when President Vladimir Putin took office in 2000, but fled to Britain where he was granted political asylum.
