Re-elected Egyptian President to be inaugurated September 14

CAIRO, September 10 (RIA Novosti, Igor Kuznetsov) - The inauguration of re-elected Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak will take place on September 14. Mubarak, 77, won the first multiple-candidate elections in the history of the country. At his inauguration, he will swear an oath before the People's Assembly (Egypt's lower house of parliament), and announce his program for the next six years. During the September 7 presidential election, Mubarak, running as the National Democratic Party candidate, won around 87% of votes.Mubarak, who has been in power since 1981, has already served five consecutive terms as president.
