Russian, Kenyan foreign ministers to hold talks in Moscow

MOSCOW, July 15 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Kenyan counterpart Ali Mwakwere will analyze the main tendencies of global development in light of new threats during talks Friday here, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Yakovenko said Thursday that priority attention would be given to the formation of a democratic world order, efforts to counter international terrorism and the consolidation of the UN's key role in maintaining global peace and stability through its reform.

The ministers will discuss the settlement of conflicts and crises in Africa, including sustainable development, prospects for implementing the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD) program and support on the part of the leading world powers after the G8 summit in Gleneagles, Scotland.
