Putin discusses migration policy with Security Council

MOSCOW, July 9 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin held a consultation with members of the Russian Security Council today to discuss different issues of domestic and foreign policies, including the migration policy, the president's press service reported.

Putin raised the issue of the migration policy at a regular government session on July 4, after Interior Minister Rashid Nurgaliyev recounted his meeting with his Kazakh counterpart to consider border cooperation.

Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov, Head of the Presidential Administration Dmitry Medvedev, Secretary of the Russian Security Council Igor Ivanov, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov, Minister of the Interior Rashid Nurgaliyev, Director of the Federal Security Service Nikolai Patrushev and Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Lebedev attended the meeting today.
