SANAA/AMSTERDAM, June 29 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov's flight from Amsterdam was delayed for an hour by Dutch security services on Tuesday night, said an official accompanying the minister.
The authorities said some individuals had allegedly tried to break into the plane in the early hours of Tuesday.
Russian officials said it was impossible, as the plane was under 24-hour guard. The Dutch then offered a new version, saying that people in black masks had shown heightened interest in Lavrov's plane.
The authorities suggested examining the plane, but the Russian officials rejected the idea.
Lavrov was told the flight for Yemen had been delayed.
