Putin, Blair negotiate in Novo-Ogarevo

MOSCOW, June 13, (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and British Prime Minister Tony Blair are negotiating in Novo-Ogarevo outside Moscow. Blair arrived on a working visit June 12."Russian and British leaders are to discuss expanded bilateral cooperation in different international formats and current world-policy issues," a Kremlin source said. The last time Putin and Blair met was during the Sea Island G-8 Summit June 8-10, 2004. "Putin and Blair have another three summits on schedule: Gleneagles in July, the Millennium + 5 Summit in New York in September, and Putin's working visit to London in the context of the Russia-EU summit in early October," the source said.

"These talks will take place in the context of Great Britain's G-8 presidency, its EU presidency in late 2005 and Russia's EU presidency next year," he added..

"Blair, who began his European tour by visiting Russia, will discuss G-8 summit preparations in Moscow, Berlin, Paris and Luxembourg," Downing Street Ten said.
