Russia and Kazakhstan sign bilateral documents

BAIKONUR, June 2 (RIA Novosti) - Russia and Kazakhstan have signed a series of joint documents.

Presidents Vladimir Putin of Russia and Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan made a joint statement winding up their inspection of the Baikonurj space center, where they participated in the official function dedicated to the space center's fiftieth birthday.

In their presence were also signed an intergovernmental agreement on ecology and environmental management on the Baikonur complex, memorandum between the Federal Space Agency (Roskosmos) and the Education and Science Ministry of the Republic of Kazakhstan on mutual understanding in the realization of joint research and development in space activities, memorandum on cooperation between Russia's Federal Customs Service and the Customs Control Committee at the Finance Ministry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
