NEW DELHI, May 20 (RIA Novosti, Natalia Shilo) - Leading Russian medical and technical universities invite Indian school graduates to acquire a higher education in Russia. A delegation of Russian universities which are popular with Indian students arrived in New Delhi to join the educational program under the auspices of the Russian Center of Science and Culture.

According to center director Fyodor Rozovsky, "the Russian education system which was formed a long time ago has gained trust across the world. Its principles let students acquire good professional training and a general education."

Diplomas of Lomonosov Moscow State University, the Sechenov Academy of Medicine, the Moscow Aviation Institute and others are acknowledged all over the world, he noted.

Education in Russia is relatively inexpensive. Medical training fees range from $1,700-6,000 and engineering training fees - from $1,200-3,600 a year, Rozovsky said.

"More and more Russian universities enter the Indian education market and offer training in English. We expect a 100% of increase in the number of Indian students who will study in Russia this year," Fyodor Rozovsky stressed.

Presentations of Russian universities will take place in India's seven largest cities, New Delhi, Kolkata, Kochi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Madurai from May 21 to 30. Future students will be able to hand in applications on the spot.
