WARSAW, May 16 (RIA Novosti) - Russia is ready to sign a border agreement with Latvia at any moment if it does not make any conditions, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at a press conference in Moscow during a Council of Europe summit in Warsaw.
"Border talks with Latvia were completed and the agreement initialed. If Latvia puts forward no conditions we are ready to sign the agreement tomorrow," the minister said.
The sides need no intermediaries to solve this problem, Lavrov added.
According to the minister, he informed his Latvian counterpart of the Russian position.
"He [the Latvian minister] knows that the agreement can be signed in the near future if no conditions are forwarded," Sergei Lavrov noted.
