KIEV, DECEMBER 28, (RIA Novosti) - Supreme Rada (Parliament) Speaker Vladimir Lytvyn is sure that no repeat presidential elections will now take place.

Victor Yushchenko has an eight-percent edge over Victor Yanukovych; this means that the third round's results will not be voted once again, Lytvyn told Ukraine's Channel Five.

The Supreme Rada Speaker made this statement in response to assertions by Victor Yanukovych and his campaign headquarters to the effect that they intended to appeal the December 26 election results.

International observers, who represent parliamentary assemblies of European structures and NATO, also reacted skeptically to a possible fourth round of Ukrainian presidential elections the other day.
