GROZNY, October 16 (RIA Novosti) - Three federal army soldiers were injured in blasts yesterday, a republican Interior Ministry officer told RIA Novosti.
Scouts of a federal Defense Ministry unit came on an unidentified explosive device in Prigorodnoye, a suburb of Grozny, Chechen capital. The device went off to injure two conscript soldiers. They are in hospital now.
Another unidentified device blasted in Khankala near Grozny, close to a federal army checkpoint, 2 p.m. yesterday. A platoon commander was injured and put to hospital.
A police search round the village Ghekhi-Chu, Urus Martan District, came on an arms cache. There was a Kalashnikov submachine gun in it, thirty 7.62 mm cartridges, thirty electric detonators, 22 fuses, and 28 Apollo radio stations, added RIA Novosti's interlocutor.
