According to the spokesman for the company, AvtoVaz will present its serial cars, short-runs cars and promising developments. Cars on display will include Lada-110 cars with bodies of three types and Lada-Samara cars. After the show, they will be sold. Short-runs cars will be represented by the Lada-2120 mini-van and the Lada 112 Super 1600 sports car.
Particularly interesting are the promising models, VAZ 2170 and Lada-Kalina. VAZ-2170 is to be placed on the assembly belt next year and Lada-Kalina cars will begin to be produced on November 18 2004.
Today preparations for the production of Lada-Kalina cars have entered the final stage. The first to be assembled will be Lada-1118 Kalina, sedan. The engineering design and the exterior of this car have been completed.
At present, pilot assemblage of these cars is carried out in the experimental and industrial AvtoVAZ production. In parallel, the work to assemble and start-and-adjust the equipment is continuing in the workshops of the plant. The most up-to-date technologies will be applied in the welding, painting and assembling of Kalina cars.
