According to the OSCE mission, negotiations will be resumed next Monday. In line with the agreements, the first round of talks will be held on April 26 in Tiraspol, and the second round - on April 27 in Chisinau.
The OSCE mission specified that mediators will receive official proposals on the Transdniestrian settlement on these days.
According to Moldovan Reintegration Minister Vasile Sova, "we hope that the efforts of all the negotiation structures - the Joint Constitutional Commission, economic and sectoral expert groups - will be reanimated." "A lot of questions have accumulated, and they can and should be addressed," said Mr. Sova.
Five-sided talks were suspended on November 26, 2003 when Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin refused to sign the memorandum initiated by the Russian side, which provided the formation of a federative state of Moldova.
Since then, Chisinau has repeatedly stated its readiness to resume talks and forwarded its own amended proposals on the settlement of the problem to mediators.
Tiraspol authorities have more than once stated that they base their proposals on the Moscow memorandum which failed to be signed in November 2003, but intended to include more guarantees for residents of the region in them.
