MOSCOW HOSTS CIS COMMISSION FOR PEACEFUL USE OF NUCLEAR ENERGY

MOSCOW, April 14 (RIA Novosti) - The sixth session of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) commission for the peaceful use of nuclear energy will be held in Moscow on Wednesday.

The CIS Executive Committee told RIA Novosti that representatives of nine CIS member-countries would attend the session.

Alexander Rumyantsev, the chairman of the CIS committee for the peaceful use of nuclear energy and the head of the Federal Atomic Energy Agency, will open the session.

The commission participants plan to discuss issues related to the planning and organization of the work of CIS countries to develop nuclear energy.
