MOSCOW, April 9 (RIA Novosti) - An international conference, A Liberal Programme for a New Age: A Global View, took start in Moscow yesterday to gather several countries' liberal reform activists for an exchange of knowhow.
Russia's President Vladimir Putin met with the conferees today. "It would be good if Moscow became venue for more conferences of this kind. I'd be glad to have it so. I hope this is not a last gathering of the people present here in their current status," he remarked.
