Answering questions from reporters after talks with the European Commission chairman Romano Prodi, Saakashvili spoke up for Georgia's entry into the European Union.
"When we enter the EU, I'll still be young and full of vigour", Saakashvili assured.
Prodi, in turn, spoke up for the development of EU-Georgian relations and said that assistance to Georgia will be considered at the international conference due in Brussels in June.
Prodi recalled that the European Commission had earlier allocated 10 million euros as urgent aid to Georgia and is going to allocate another 3.6 million to help the Georgian authorities in the conduct of reforms and the ensurance of legality, law and order.
In addition, Prodi has voiced support for the leadership of Georgia, its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
