MOSCOW, April 2, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - Russian-German consultations at the top level are due to be held in Germany in autumn, a source in the Kremlin told RIA Novosti.
These consultations are held annually in Russia and Germany on a rotational basis. In June 2000 they were held in Berlin, in April 2001 - in St. Petersburg, in April 2002 in Weimar, and in October last year - in Yekaterinburg.
According to the source, the two leaders meet regularly. In 2003 alone, Vladimir Putin and Gerhard Schroeder met seven times, "The intensive contacts between the Russian president and the German chancellor determine the dynamics of Russian-German relations," said the Kremlin source.
