RUSSIA-UKRAINE TURNOVER MAY REACH $20 BILLION THIS YEAR

MOSCOW, April 1 (RIA Novosti) - Russo-Ukrainian trade turnover may increase by 30% until this year's end and amount to $20 billion, Ukrainian Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovich said at a meeting with Vladimir Putin.

In his words, for the three months of this year, trade turnover has grown by 28%; its annual growth is forecasted from $15 billion last year to $20 billion this year.

Vladimir Putin, on his part, was satisfied with "evident positive shifts in Ukraine's economy." The Russian President said Ukraine's GDP has grown by 10.5% for the three months against the same period last year. Besides, in Mr. Putin's words, trade turnover and industrial production are increasing.

Trade turnover between Russia and Ukraine, in the president's words, has grown by $2 billion for the last three months.
