RALLY OF PROTEST AGAINST IRAQI WAR IN MOSCOW

MOSCOW, March 20, 2004. (RIA Novosti). A rally timed to the anniversary of the beginning of the Iraqi war took place in Moscow.

About 60 people took part in the rally in Tverskoi boulevard, Moscow's center. It was sanctioned by the Moscow authorities.

Representatives of the movements "The Red Youth Avant-garde" and "Socialist Resistance" participated in the rally. Their slogans read "Imperialism Means War", "Occupants, Get out of Iraq, Chechnya and Palestine!", etc.

According to protesters, the US wish to control the Iraqi oil is the real reason of the war.
