MOSCOW, March 19, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - According to Russian Vice Premier Alexei Zhukov, the reduction of the number of deputy ministers proposed by government chief of staff Dmitry Kozak is not without reason.

The number of deputy ministers can be soon reduced but not to two, he said.

The next meeting of the administrative reform commission will be held on Tuesday to consider this issue. It can be submitted to the government next Thursday, Mr. Zhukov added.
