MOSCOW, March18, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - State Duma (the lower house of parliament) Speaker Boris Gryzlov does not support transferring bodies of state authority from Moscow to other Russian cities.

"Today, the bodies of state authority are working efficiently enough and there is no need to interfere with this work now," Mr. Gryzlov said when commenting on the draft law submitted by deputy Valery Galchenko. The draft law stipulates that several federal agencies be moved from Moscow to other Russian cities.

This issue is not topical, Mr. Gryzlov said.
