NAZRAN, March 15 (RIA Novosti) - A terrorist attack was prevented in Ingushetia (a North Caucasian autonomous region that borders Chechnya), reported a source at the republic's Interior Ministry.
"Yesterday morning, law enforcement officers discovered a homemade targeted explosive device two meters away from the road leading to the Satsita Chechen refugee tent camp in the outskirts of Ordzhonikidzevskaya Stanitsa [Sunzhensky district]," a source in the ministry said.
"The 70 kilogram bomb consisted of a mixture of aluminum powder and ammonium nitrate and was stuffed with fragments of metal ball bearings. The device was connected by wires to a Kenwood radio station and connected with a Ural motorcycle battery in a plastic bottle that was filled with building foam," the source said.
A search operation to identify and arrest the people involved in planting this explosive device is being conducted.
