TSENTOROI, Chechen Republic, March 14 (RIA Novosti). The drafting of a treaty on the delimitation of powers between the federal centre and the Chechen Republic will be resumed immediately after the presidential elections, President Akhmad Karydov told journalists after casting his ballot.
According to him, the drafting was halted because of personnel reshuffles. "We will resume the drafting as soon as the elections are over. He said the Chechen premier would be appointed very soon. "We have the candidate and I think I will make the appointment on Monday or Tuesday," said Kadyrov.
Premier is "a figure who should be appointed for more than 12-18 months," thinks the Chechen president. He believes that the head of government should work for at least four years.
