OVER 830 GRAMS OF HEROIN WITHDRAWN FROM TAJIK NATIONAL

MOSCOW, March 12, 2004. (RIA Novosti). The Russian State Drug Control Committee discovered a net of Afghan heroin dealers in Moscow.

"One of the members of the criminal group was arrested not long ago. He evidenced against a Tajik national who was detained with 830 grams of heroin," Maria Lutsenko, the head of the committee's PR department, told RIA Novosti.

In her words, the drug dealer was caught in the act of selling heroin. According to experts, he had about 3,000 doses of the drug.

"The criminal group also included Tajik and Uzbek nationals who were smuggling heroin from Afghanistan. Criminal proceedings were initiated," Lutsenko said.
