GROZNY, March 10, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - A terrorist act has been deterred in Chechnya's Nadterechny district, reports the headquarters for the anti-terrorist operation in the North Caucasus.
While checking on information provided by locals, policemen found an improvised bomb in the village of Znamenskoye, reads a HR press-release.
The bomb was made of 2.5 kg of TNT, 5 rounds to an under-barrel grenade launcher, 3 electric detonators, cable and a clock.
"Bandits planted the bomb, where people have gathered lately preparing for the sowing campaign," reads the press-release.
Law-enforcers have launched investigation into the incident. Policemen are working to identify those, who planted the bomb and are questioning possible eyewitnesses.
