MOSCOW, March 9 (RIA Novosti) - On Tuesday, the high-ranking official of the Russian Defence Ministry told RIA Novosti that in the frame of the joint Russian-French navy exercises, planed for the summer 2004, Russian battleships would visit the French nuclear fleet base.
According to an official of the Russian Defence Ministry, a nuclear submarine and a anti-submarine battleship will take part in the exercise from the Russian side. French party will be presented by the same combat complex.
The agreement to this extent was reached in the course of the acting Defence Minister of Russia, Sergei Ivianov's Paris visit last week.
