GROZNY, March 6 (RIA Novosti) - Three servicemen were wounded in Ingushetia in an anty-militants operation, RIA Novosti was told in the republic's interior ministry.
"Militants blocked in a private house fired from automatic weapons at officers of the republican FSB department who were conducting a special operation," said a ministry official. He said three servicemen were wounded as a result.
Five attackers were killed by return fire, the personalities of four of them have been identified, said the interior ministry.
Earlier, a representative of the Regional Operational HQ to control the counter terrorist operation in the North Caucasus said, "during a pi-point special operation conducted by interior troops special purpose units, FSB and interior ministry officers, five militants were killed in Stary Malgobek (Ingushetia)."
