MURMANSK, MARCH 3, RIA NOVOSTI - Vladimir Kuroyedov, in command of the Russian Navy, and Alexander Rukshin, Deputy Chief of General Staff and Russian Armed Forces operations department head, appeared at the Northern Fleet central base today, reports the fleet press service.
Ad hoc commissions have been working here for several days now. Manned with admirals, generals and other officers of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces and the Central Naval Staff, they are investigating three abortive missile launches in last month's Northern Fleet exercise, which federal President Vladimir Putin was attending. The commissions are working without the slightest publicity.
Commission heads will report to Admiral Kuroyedov and General Rukshin.
