PARIS, March 3 (RIA Novosti) - The negotiating process on the status of two Russian military bases remaining on Georgian territory will resume after the cabinets are formed in both countries, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov told a Wednesday press conference.

"The new Georgian leadership is set to improve Russo-Georgian relations. This was confirmed during the recent visit of Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili to Russia. He is ready for an open and fair discussion," Mr. Ivanov said.

He noted it was too early to speak about any specific terms of Russian bases withdrawal from Georgian territory.
