BRUSSELS/MOSCOW, March 1, 2004. (RIA Novosti) -- Mikhail Fradkov will fly back to Moscow this Monday, the EU office of the Russian Federation in Brussels told RIA Novosti.
On Monday the President of Russia has submitted the candidature of Mikhail Fradkov for the post of the Russian government chairman to the State Duma (the lower house of the Russian parliament) for consideration. The head of state has sent a relevant letter to the State Duma Speaker.
An employee of Russia's EU office said that the press conference of Mikhail Fradkov earlier scheduled for Monday had been cancelled.
Acting vice-premier of the Russian government Vladimir Yakovlev presumed that on Tuesday, March 2, Fradkov would come to the Russian Government House.
"Mikhail Fradkov will most likely appear in the Russian Government House to get acquainted with his new place of work," he said.
