MOSCOW, March 1, 2004 (RIA Novosti) - The State Duma (the lower house of parliament) will consider a candidature for Russian prime minister on Friday, March 5, Duma Speaker Boris Gryzlov said after a meeting with the president.

Vladimir Putin advanced Mikhail Fradkov, currently Russia's ambassador to the European Union, for the post of Russian prime minister.
