GROZNY, February 25 (RIA Novosti) - A Chechen policeman was killed in the Chechen capital of Grozny, RIA Novosti was told by a source in the republican Interior Ministry.
"The body of the senior inspector for special affairs, Major Khamidov, was found on Tuesday at 15:30 in his house in Pavlova Street," said the source.
He specified that the policeman died of a gunshot wound in the head. "His Kalashnikov sub-machinegun and service Makarov pistol were not stolen. Several bullets and cartridge cases were found in the place of the accident. Investigation is underway," the Interior Ministry's spokesman said.
