LONDON, February 24 (RIA Novosti corr. Alexander Smotrov) - Great Britain's cabinet hopes for the continuation of the existing relations with Russia, despite the dismissal of the Russian cabinet, British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw said Tuesday.
We welcome the relations we have with President Putin, the Russian government and some ministers, and hope they will continue, Mr. Straw told journalists.
The Russian cabinet was dismissed on Tuesday. Mr. Putin appointed Viktor Khristenko acting prime minister.
